Are you taking the Hebrew Proficiency Test (YAEL/YAELNET exam)? Machon Noam is here to help you succeed!
Developers at Machon Noam have created a YAEL/YAELNET preparation kit for you - a professional kit designed specifically for online learning and practicing, including detailed essay checking. Additionally, you can schedule a one-on-one course in Zoom.
As of July 2023, the YAEL test has been replaced by a computerized Hebrew proficiency test called YAELNET.
The YAEL Hebrew Proficiency Test is required of anyone taking the Psychometric Entrance Test (PET) in any language other than Hebrew.
The test is administered by the National Institute for Testing and Evaluation, which also administers the PET. YAEL test scores are used by academic institutions to determine whether the applicant's level of Hebrew is sufficient for acceptance.
Additionally, the YAEL score determines the number of Hebrew language courses students will have to complete during their degree. An exempt YAEL score grants students an exemption from Hebrew courses during their degree and saves not just time but also money.
The time allotted for the YAEL exam is about an hour and a half. The test consists of two parts:
Try, free of charge, the sample YAEL exam and get a sense of the types of questions you will find on the actual test.
All materials included in the kit, as well as its interface, instructions, and explanations, are written in Hebrew.
